Administration Officer job, Ipswich Government entity, paying $48.78 per hour, ASAP start
Your new company
Government organisation seeking temporary Admin Officer to join their Road Corridor Management team for a 3-month contract (with possibility of extension). You’ll be part of a government promisingly located in the growth corridor of the Southeast Queensland region.
Your new role
You will be responsible for assessing applications for works on council owned or managed land and facilities, as well as responding to requests in relation to access and usage. Other duties include:
Conduct field investigations and audit compliance with permit requirements and prepare reports where necessary.
In conjunction with stakeholders, develop strategies to improve the permit applications procedures with land use issues.
Liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding suitable outcomes and solutions to land access permits.
Assess permits for special events that will have an impact on the safe and efficient operation of council owned and managed land.
Provide back-up and support for other officers in Road Corridor Section.
Manage and monitor site works and minor works projects across the Works and Field Services portfolio as and when required.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have proven experience in an administration position. You will be a good communicator with Sound interpersonal skills (both oral and written) communicating with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve an agreed direction regarding traffic management and road safety matters. You will possess a high level of inspection, investigation, and information collection skills. Substantial knowledge of council land use principles, standards, and guidelines.
