QLD Government seeking a Project Coordinator for a 3-month temporary contract

Hays Recruitment are pleased to support the recruitment of a highly motivated professional Project Coordinator
(AO4
) to work within the Queensland Government, based in Cairns. This is a 3-month temporary contract, Monday – Friday with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
As the Project Coordinator, you will provide high level project, administrative and secretariat support to the Project Managers and contribute to the implementation of a range of high-value clinically focused projects across the health service.
Work with a high degree of autonomy, providing confidential high-level project, administrative and secretariat support to the Program Manager and the project team.
Liaise and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders in relation to project delivery, monitoring, and reporting.
Provide accurate and timely information including requests and collation of information for analysis and the provision of reports
Use relevant methodologies, e.g., projects, procurement and planning, in supporting the project team to deliver tasks and activities as per schedule and budget.
Develop and maintain the integrity of spreadsheets, databases, tools, business processes and project documentation to support the efficient and effective delivery of programs and projects.
Coordinate meetings including the preparation of agendas, distribution of papers, taking attendance, minuting, generating correspondence, monitoring actions and performing action items as required.
Draft high-quality correspondence/documents, including briefing notes, memorandums, letters and emails, as well as presentations and reports.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate a high level of organisation and planning, a proven track record in providing high-level administrative support. You will have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, thriving in a high-volume environment. You will consistently meet deadlines and adapt to change using initiative, organisation, planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.
High-level communication and interpersonal skills are required, including the preparation of a range of documents and correspondence. A high level of technical capability is necessary, advanced computer and keyboard skills in a range of systems, including Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email systems (e.g., Outlook), and project management applications.
