Achieve Group are seeking an AO6 Senior Procurement Support Officer based in Brisbane.

In the role of Senior Procurement Support Officer you will be supporting the enhancements required to the collaborative procurement and contracting framework and assisting with procurement of projects to support implementation of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan. You will be liaising with project teams, preparing tender documentation for release to market, assisting in evaluating tenders and providing analysis and advice with regard to key government policy and other requirements to enable contract award. You will monitor, measure and manage to compliance information to facilitate standardised monitoring and reporting.
The position reports to the Principal Program Advisor, Procurement.
Job Description
As part of this opportunity, the successful candidate will be required to perform the following:
- Analysing and advising teams about appropriate procurement both strategically and technically to minimise risk and ensure value for money.
- Supporting project teams to prepare tender documentation for release to market, ensuring alignment to key departmental procurement strategies.
- Support tender management from procurement planning through to contract award, including administration, contract management, preparing procurement related correspondence, providing advice to stakeholders.
- Monitoring, measuring and managing key government legislative/policy and other requirements to ensure delivery optimisation.
- Analysing data and trends from key result areas and measures to identify opportunities improve and enhance current program development and project delivery.
- Contributing to the development and monitoring of contract and supplier performance, evaluation and reporting strategies that focus on rewarding good performance.
- Advanced skills in internal and external networking and relationships to facilitate the implementation of sound procurement practices.
- Represent the Division on forums and committees and in whole of government processes as required.
- Contribute to other duties as required.
- Procurement officer level two certification.
- This position is from the 4th March 2024 – 31st May 2024 with 36.25 hours per week.
- $71.67 p/h plus super
