Local Buy is Queensland’s principal local government procurement partner and the largest provider of legislatively compliant Pre-qualified Supplier Arrangements in Queensland. We aim to make it easy, efficient and effective for local governments to connect to their suppliers.
Local Buy Arrangements are also a first for local government in Australia as they are open every 3 months to new suppliers or existing suppliers looking to expand the Categories they are in. Local Buy has 52 arrangements under seven broad portfolios: Fleet, Civil Works, ICT, Consultancy, Corporate Equipment, Corporate Services and Industrial Commodities.

The Role
As a Procurement Support Officer with Local Buy, you will assist in providing efficient and effective administrative and Procurement Support to Local Buy and its commercial offerings.
The Procurement Support Officer is part of the Contracts Administration Team that supports the procurement process for Local Buy to deliver a high-performing pre-qualified Arrangements process by playing a pivotal administration role through system inputs and exceptional customer service.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Managing incoming calls and emails and replying/resolving queries in a timely manner.
- Responding to general business queries from various external and internal stakeholders including current and potential Suppliers.
- Data entry and uploading information into VendorPanel and APET360 systems.
- Updating and tracking of contract documents in Excel and Word.
- Responding to clarifications when tenders are open.
- Issuing of Pre-Qualified Supplier Compliance Certificates.
- Providing support to Category Management, Local Buy engagement and marketing teams.

About You:
- An ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a close-knit team
- Excellent attention to detail with a can-do attitude and a healthy respect for deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to establish, prioritise and schedule tasks
- Ability to perform data entry and update documents to a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in using software applications such as MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Experience in SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, VendorPanel and APET360 is highly regarded
- A willingness to learn and work within our operating model, aspiration and vision
