Our culture celebrates diversity and prioritises wellbeing and belonging, ensuring our people can thrive.About The Role:Bendigo Kangan Institute is contracted to provide Apprenticeship Support Officer (ASO) services as part of a government funded program by Apprenticeships Victoria. As an ASO, you will provide guidance, advice and assistance on workplace issues, offering a referral service to assist apprentices and to support the successful participation and completion of the apprenticeship.Working predominantly across the north and west of metropolitan Melbourne, you will spend at least 3 days a week at our Broadmeadows campus. While there will be an opportunity to complete the administrative aspects of the role at home or at one of our campuses, you can expect to be using your mentoring capability in apprentice workplaces approximately 10 times a month.You may have a trades background, a second language, or bring First Nations cultural knowledge to the role however your success will be founded upon your ability to engage non-judgementally with a youth cohort, as well as your capacity to communicate appropriately with a range of internal, external and government stakeholders. - A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. VET, community services, youth, mentoring, apprenticeship services qualification) and / or a Trade qualification or experience of an apprenticeship.
