About the Role:
The South Australian Department for Education is dedicated to engaging every child and student so that they achieve at the highest possible level of their learning and well-being, though quality care and teaching. The department continuously implements a range of business reforms and new initiatives to improve the educational opportunities for every South Australian child and to best meet the needs of the South Australian community. The Student Pathways and Careers Division provides a focus on supporting our secondary schools to provide a consistent approach to engage, retain and transition young people to employment, vocational learning and higher education.
The Executive Assistant is accountable for coordinating and undertaking a range of high-level, quality, comprehensive and confidential executive, programs support and correspondence administrative services to the Executive Director, Student Pathways and Careers, and divisional executives. The role works closely with the Executive Director, Student Pathways and Careers on day to day matters to ensure the provision of a high level of proactive and organised administrative and secretarial support, including the application of high-level time management and qualitative responsiveness to urgent matters. The Executive Assistant also provides a professional and responsive central contact point for the Executive Director, Student Pathways and Careers and the Division, coordinates and delivers a range of accounting, procurement and human resource management functions and FOI requests and undertakes business improvement projects, research and investigations as directed.
Qualifications:
Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualifications
Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO4 $75,430 - $79,070 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation
