This includes leading reforms to quality preschool for all three and four-year-olds, supporting for families in the first 1000 days of a child’s life, improving access to childcare and out of school hours care, and implementing workforce reforms.
About the Role:
We are seeking a communicative individual with excellent organisational skills to join our team as an Executive Support Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing high-level, quality, comprehensive, and confidential liaison, executive, and administrative support services to the Executive Directors and senior management within the Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD).
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the appointment diary of the Executive Directors, including scheduling appointments, preparing working papers, booking meeting rooms, welcoming visitors, and coordinating catering.
- Consult and cross-reference information and priorities with the Business Services team.
- Provide high-quality services including minute-taking, arranging meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining contact lists, file tracking, and monitoring incoming correspondence.
- Manage financial responsibilities, including processing invoices and reconciliation in line with the Treasurer's instructions.
- Manage HR items including bona fide reporting, monthly leave returns, and assisting with recruitment tasks as required.
- Liaise with the Chief Executive and other senior managers to ensure the Executive Directors are informed of urgent requirements and requests.
- Incorporate background information that supports decision-making processes and recommendations for action.
- Coordinate effective office communication protocols, ensuring all correspondence is addressed in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Undertake business improvement projects, research on office projects, and assist in the implementation of project outcomes and strategies.
- Desirable a relevant tertiary qualification.
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO4 $75,430 - $79,070 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
