About the role:
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to provide support to the finance team by helping to prepare financial statements, accounts, budgets, processing invoices and preparing FBT returns.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions match between the company's records and bank statements.
- Assist in processing accounts payable transactions accurately, ensuring timely payments to vendors.
- Assist with invoicing for accounts receivable and following up on outstanding payments.
- Bank and corporate credit card reconciliations and cost tracking.
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned to ensure accurate financial reporting.
About you:
Your strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry, paired with your excellent organisational and time-management skills will see you succeed in this role. You possess strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing strong problem-solving and analytical skills to the team and your work.
Coming from a similar role, you will utilise your knowledge and skills in general accounting. It is also desirable you also have a Bachelor of Accounting/Finance or in the process of completing this.
