Assistant Accountant - Wholesaler - South West Sydney
The Company
Our client is well-established organisation, having operated for nearly 100 years! They are part of an ASX-listed group. This company prides themselves on distributing quality products to reliable retailers across the globe. They also sell their products directly to consumers online and have built a great reputation over the years.
This role will be in South West Sydney and offers 2 days working from home per week (after training).
The Role
In this position as the Assistant Accountant, you will be working closely with the Management Accountant and wider finance team. Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Calculation of monthly GST returns & FBT
- Assist with annual budget preparation
- Managing T&A system
- Calculating monthly sales rebates
To be considered for this role you must possess most of the following attributes:
- At least 3 years in a similar role (month-end assistance/exposure is essential)
- Previous experience in an Inventory/Product based business (highly desirable)
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables & VLOOKUP's minimum)
- Degree in Accounting
- Excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Access to a car and able to drive to the office (not easily accessible by public transport)
