- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology/Project management or related discipline and/or industry based qualifications.
- 5 + years' experience managing and monitoring Networks in an enterprise environment including but not limited to Gateway, LAN/WAN, Security, Load-Balancing and Wireless solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various aspects of Networks, predominately across Cisco.
- Understanding of current Networking technologies and ability to map to future/emerging technologies/industry trends and organisational outcomes.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.

Immediate supervisor: Director, Network and Identity SystemsUnder limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Executive Level 1 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:1. Effectively plan and manage maintenance and upgrade activities for the Australian Parliament House (APH) Network and Security Operations ensuring work is delivered to an appropriate standard and within timeframes and budgets.2. Lead the field services team, including assignment of maintenance and upgrade activities to staff and service providers, ensuring staff work to an appropriate work level standard and service providers to contracted service levels, timeframes, and prices.3. Draft, publish and maintain artefacts required to support the effective operation of APH's Network and Security Operations, including a preventative maintenance work plan, design and technical documentation, work permits and authorities to work.4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders ensuring appropriate engagement at all levels.5. Undertake contract management activities for vendor provided services and monitors and report on performance and service delivery outcomes to customers.6.
