Your new role
As the Associate Manager, you will report through to the Manager, Quantitative Solutions and will sit within the Liquidity and Implementation, Investments team. This role will be responsible for conducting research and developing proprietary models to reduce costs.
Additional key responsibilities include:
Make recommendations to the Manager, Quantitative Solutions, in relation to various implementation topics including transaction costs, exposure management and liquidity management.
- Assist the Manager, Quantitative Solutions with developing the team's research agenda.
- Lead the design of quantitative implementation models.
- Review quantitative models prior to deployment.
- Document research findings and methodologies in internal papers.
- Present research insights at regular team meetings and internal forums.
- Collaborate on new ideas or initiatives that support performance and cost, particularly with regards to future growth.
What you'll need
- Tertiary level qualifications in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or related disciplines. A PhD degree in a quantitative discipline will be highly regarded.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and quantitative modelling skills.
- Ability to communicate in a simple and effective manner for different level of audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong experience acquired within the investments, funds management/superannuation industry and/or in combination with an academic background in a relevant quantitative field.
- Proficient in R and/or Python.
- Proven experience in Bayesian and / or high frequency trading models.
