Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Manager to join our dynamic team at ARA Fire. As a Bid Manager, you will play a critical role in coordinating and managing the end-to-end bid process for securing contracts and projects within the fire protection and building services industry. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of our business through effective bid management and proposal development.
This position can be held in any of our major city offices. Sydney, Central Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the bid management process from initiation to completion, ensuring timely submission of high-quality bids and proposals.
- Collaborate with the sales, operations, and technical teams to understand client requirements and develop compelling bid strategies.
- Analyse tender documents and assess project scope, technical specifications, and commercial terms to develop comprehensive bid responses.
- Coordinate bid kick-off meetings, assign responsibilities, and manage internal resources to meet bid deadlines.
- Prepare and review bid documentation, including technical proposals, pricing schedules, and commercial terms, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Manage the bid library, maintaining up-to-date content and templates for efficient bid production.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, subcontractors, and partners to gather necessary information and ensure bid requirements are met.
- Lead bid presentations and negotiations with clients to secure contracts and close deals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in bid management, ideally within the fire protection or building services industry.
- Strong understanding of fire protection systems, standards, and regulations is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in bid submissions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
