Cullen Wines is seeking to employ an experienced bookkeeper preferably with wine industry experience. The role, reporting directly, to the General Manager, is located at the Caves Road property in Wilyabrup, Margaret River.

The role will oversee the day to day operations of the admin office, providing accounts, HR and admin support to all areas of the business.

KEY FUNCTION
Reporting to the General Manager, this position provides a high level of accounting for the business and coordinates the day to day operation of the admin office.
MAIN DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accounting & Reporting
Oversee and assist in the accurate and timely recording of all Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Sales and stock transactions in the accounting system, spreadsheets and other databases.
Arrange payment of accounts as first signatory.
Carry out bank and other reconciliations.
Prepare the end of month journals to trial balance.
Assist the General Manager with monthly board reports.
Prepare and submit of the Business Activity Statement (BAS) and IAS (PAYG).
Prepare and submit the annual Liquor License Return.
Prepare and submit levy and export returns.
Prepare monthly excise return.
Assist with insurance claims as directed.
Coordinate information for tax accountant pertaining to FBT and annual Income Tax.
Assist staff with day to day queries pertaining to accounts.
2. HR & Payroll
Arrange on-boarding of employees in HR system.
Process payroll and maintain employee records.
Process and pay payroll tax & superannuation in accordance with statutory deadlines.
Ensure compliance with end of year payroll processing and ATO requirements.
Manage workers compensation claims for the business.
3. Office Operations
Maintain office equipment for the company.
Co-ordinate the filing and archiving of accounting records.
Banking as required.
Ensure security of cash, admin office and other assets.
Order and maintain stationery.
Oversee operation of company IT and Phone systems.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Essential Experience:
5 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping/payroll processing.
Advanced Office365
Preferred:
Accounting qualification diploma/degree.
Worked in an Australian wine business in the same capacity.
Xero, Vinsight, Ezywine, Employment Hero, IdealPOS experience.
Skills
Strong accounting and payroll knowledge
