Business Analyst
Location – Gippsland
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time
About the opportunity:
The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for defining business requirements and developing solutions through data and business process analysis. With expertise in stakeholder engagement, they regularly consult with internal system owners, departmental power users, the IT Project and Services Manager, Managed Service Provider (MSP) and system providers, and other external advisors. They are able to provide meaningful data insights and find opportunities for efficiencies, lifting organisational performance and increasing Workways’ data maturity.
Being an Business Analyst involves:
- Act as the key contact for performance information and system needs, working with IT, the MSP, system vendors and data owners; and internal system owner for departmental systems.
- Understand and document business requirements from multiple stakeholders, identifying solutions to meet business objectives, and the data associated with them; focussing on how an IT solution can be served by software.
- Assist in sourcing and making recommendations for robust and cost-effective software solutions. that enable efficiencies and improve organisational performance.
- Act as the gateway between the software providers and the business to make sure that business needs are met.
- Work with the IT Project and Services Manager and MSP to implement software.
- Provide guidance on project and change management principles as a part of implementation.
About You:
- Strong business acumen across various business functions, including business planning, sales, marketing and finance.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills, with exceptional networking and stakeholder management capacity.
- Impeccable integrity, trust, respect, stewardship, strong cultural awareness and commitment to people in disadvantaged circumstances.
- You are passionate about your community and connecting people to opportunities
- You are results driven but people focused - always
- You have well developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, liaise and consult with a wide range of stakeholders
- You are proficient in computer applications, including Windows and MS office suite.
