Role Overview: As the Business Development Manager, you will serve as the Bid Manager, playing a fundamental role in leading the end-to-end process for all tenders. This includes integrating with estimating and submissions.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement sales strategies to acquire new business and effectively manage logistics operations with new clients.
- Represent the Group in all tender activities.
- Communicate detailed knowledge of the industry and tenders to the team.
- Manage bid coordination and review of tender deliverables.
- Lead progress meetings with clients.
- Participate in the review of estimates.
- Ensure alignment and integration of methodology, program, and estimate in tender submissions.
- Manage and integrate commercial and contractual responses into submissions.
- Facilitate a smooth transition from tender stage to delivery through effective knowledge transfer.
Design Management:
- Establish and report bid budgets.
- Provide progress reports to the CEO and team.
- Engage in discussions with relevant authorities, stakeholders, clients, and third parties.
- Foster stakeholder engagement.
- Manage innovation throughout the tender phase to deliver superior outcomes for clients.
Requirements:
- Business management degree.
- Prior experience owning and managing a similar business.
- Ability to develop and implement budgets and forecasts.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiating skills, and business process improvement skills.
- Forward-looking, self-motivated, and solutions-focused approach.
