We are looking for a Industrial Gearbox Sales Person in Western Australia who has a proven track record in sales, excellent customer service skills and the ability to think strategically. The successful candidate will be highly experienced and have a high level of knowledge regarding industrial gearboxes and their technical specifications, ideally gained from within the industry, and will also be able to successfully manage growth in the Western Australia area.
You must be able to demonstrate your ability to identify and develop new sales opportunities and manage existing customers. You will be a self-starter, highly motivated and possess strong problem-solving skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying sales opportunities for our core mechanical power transmission equipment (industrial gearboxes) in Western Australia.
- Build an account customer base.
- Meet performance goals and KPIs of monthly sales targets and customer satisfaction.
- Telephone sales and CRM of cold and warm leads.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities to align with business KPIs.
- Develop reporting standards for key stakeholders.
- Maintain CRM system and contact information.
- Manage leads, convert enquiries to sales and new accounts.
- Develop strong and reliable relationships with key clients.
- Maintain and stay up to date with information and knowledge on the Australian competitors.
- Discuss and meet with consulting/design engineers in a corporate environment.
- Attend site appointments to discuss projects with mine/maintenance managers, develop relationships and gain further knowledge on industry requirements.
- To maintain and stay up to date with information regarding all mining and industrial activities in WA.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proactive approach to sales and lead generation.
- Achievement focused attitude with demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A high level of self-motivation, initiative, and proactivity.
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and solving issues in a timely manner.
- Highly skilled on computers and with general technology.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Full driver’s licence.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum education of a mechanical trades apprenticeship with a qualification relating to fitting/machining/maintenance/diesel fitter.
- A degree/qualification in science-based areas but must have included a practical workshop and hands-on industrial/maintenance experience.
- Proven sales experience working within the mining, minerals processing and materials handling industries, including suppliers of equipment used in industries.
- Proven experience in identification and tendering for gearboxes required for new projects.
- Proven track record in generating sales growth through new accounts.
- Experienced in business-to-business sales.
- Highly skilled in understanding the applications of, and consumers of, industrial gearboxes, as well as the criteria used to select the appropriate size and type of gearbox.
