What we need from you
- Completion of Secondary Education, degree qualified in Commerce or Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) or equivalent experience will be highly regarded.
- 5 + years’ experience in mining, resources, or mobile equipment in a Business Development role.
- Deep understanding of the mining sector, including technical knowledge of heavy earth moving equipment and key market drivers.
- Strong network of industry contacts and relationships.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on emerging opportunities.
- Results driven.
Responsibilities
- Relationship management and Business Development to maintain existing customers and attain new customers with a thorough understanding of customer requirements and alternative solutions.
- Preparation of marketing plans, negotiation of opportunities and preparation of proposals in accordance with company policies.
- Coordination of proposal submissions, attaining contracts and handovers to relevant stakeholders to ensure effective management of contracts.
- Communication with maintenance stakeholders to maintain quality and reliability of Emeco assets.
- Participation of periodic inspections of rental assets as required.
- Timely and efficient redeployment of assets; target opportunities for idle equipment and minimise idle time between off hires.
- Actively participate and contribute to relevant meetings including sales, idle plant, and Business Development.
- Maintain and update Emeco databases as required.
- Prepare reports as requested which includes information on utilisation, revenue, variances, forecasted machine hours, rate adjustments and other required information.
- Ongoing development of job and industry knowledge through participation in educational opportunities, maintaining of personal networks and participation in professional organisations.
- Travel within the Hunter Valley, Regional NSW and South Australia as required.
