Reporting to the Commercial Manager (CEO in interim), the role is accountable for effectively leading the partnership development initiatives & activities to achieve the company’s growth (revenue and gross profit) targets.
Key responsibilities- Assisting in developing / evolving the company’s GTM.
- Developing (& periodically reviewing) sales/partnership initiatives and the Business Development plan.
- Executing Business Development activities, which will require regular domestic travel.
- Developing collateral and promotional materials.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, which involve proactively generating leads, negotiating deals, and effectively executing commercial agreements to drive business growth.
- Strategically planning and supporting operational requirements necessary for securing or executing partnerships, ensuring cross-functional alignment across marketing, technology, and finance domains.
- Staying abreast of industry and market trends, including conducting market research and gathering and analysing data to identify growth opportunities.
- Managing / seeking input from team members to support the development of customer opportunities.
- Attending meetings and networking events to cultivate relationships and enhance brand awareness.
- Tracking and documenting progress, providing regular internal updates.
- Reviewing customer contracts and commercials.
- Account management.
- Supporting future BD team personnel.
Experience: 3-5 years in a Business Development management type role with a track record of sales growth success and strong customer relationships
Sales: Skill in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including lead generation, sales techniques including CRM proficiency, market entry strategies, and the ability to develop and execute Business Development plans.
Clinical Knowledge: A strong understanding of the mental health and healthcare landscape, including a basic understanding of clinical concepts and terminology is essential.
Technical knowledge: Foundational technical knowledge to understand the company's products or services thoroughly. General proficiency with IT systems such as Microsoft 365.
Financial Analysis: Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting revenue, assessing costs, and evaluating the potential profitability and feasibility of business opportunities.
General expectations- Believes in the company’s social impact, brings and expresses positivity (even in challenging circumstances), takes ownership of initiatives, and communicates transparently.
- Structured approach to methodically pursue market opportunities (utilising CRM and any other nominated company systems), builds trust and strong relationships with team members and customers, professional presentation, willing to work through peaks where intensive work periods may be required, concise weekly reporting.
