Avalon Logistics is a new name to the transport and logistics marketplace. It’s part of a corporate business group who offer a wide variety of services, including full trailer loads (FTL), refrigerated freight services and national pallet distribution.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking to employ a self-motivated and professional Business Development Manager to assist us in achieving our objectives.
The position will initially have a sole emphasis on New Business development. The focus being on creating new business opportunities through a high level of sales activity.
- Achievement will be met through individual targets and budgets that will be fair, achievable and mutually set, along with ticking off key performance indicators (KPI’s) along the way.
- This is a work from home position, however there will be an expectation that you will have new business face to face appointments almost on a daily basis.
- There will be the occasional requirement for interstate travel.
- You will get to work in a flexible and fun small business environment.
- This is a senior role and we are looking for the best of the best and with that comes the future possibility of a buy in.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
The successful applicant must have previous experience in both a field sales role and in the Transport and Logistics Industry.
- You will be highly motivated, driven and thrive on success.
- You will need the ability to build professional relationships with new and existing customers.
- Have immaculate personal presentation.
- You will have the ability to open new markets with strategic thinking and planning along with the ability to negotiate outstanding new service arrangements.
- Have strong verbal, written and IT skills as you will be self-sufficient in preparing your own presentations.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
- The position comes with a generous salary, car allowance, and an outstanding commission and bonus scheme. The annual package is fully negotiable, depending on the applicants experience, however, we would expect the successful applicant to be earning between 110k and 140k p.a.
- An in-depth initial training and induction program.
- We will supply the successful applicant with a laptop and mobile phone.
- Resources will be at your full disposal to get new accounts across the line.
- Daily debriefs and weekly sales meetings with the Managing Director who will provide you both guidance and support.
