We are looking for a customer centric and dynamic sales person to join our high-performing NSW Field Sales Team as a Business Development Manager.
As a Business Development Manager, you will manage on-premise, hybrid, and retail customer accounts across Sydney’s City and Eastern Suburbs (Lane Cove to Sydney Metro to Bondi Junction).
In this role you will be a key part of our Independents Field Sales Team where you will work to drive business of our fantastic brands with independent sellers (on and off premise).
We are looking for an on-premise specialist, someone who is comfortable with Sommeliers or club managers, driven to chase new business, and also comfortable merchandising retail stores.
This role is full-time and permanent.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver growth through completing cycle tasks in order to drive compliance and distributions within your customer base
- Successfully manage a territory of customers and average call rates (independent on/off premise)
- Sourcing new business opportunities along the journey plan
- Deliver product growth and helping to drive profitability through ranging mix of products in stores
- Understanding of category and shopper insights with retailers to educate and implement key strategies
- Negotiate directly with key business and decision makers across on/off premise
- Development plans formulated and executed in conjunction with the Sales Manager
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ field sales experience (preference for experience in the on-premise channel)
- We’d love someone with experience in the Liquor industry or FMCG – however we’ll train you up if you’re an excellent salesperson with a love for achieving KPIs
- Stellar negotiation and influencing skills
- Basic commercial and business acumen
- Demonstrated ability to achieve targets and meet deadline
- Goal-driven, with excellent organisational skills and a passion for wine!
