What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the Head of Creative, you’ll be pivotal in building the strategic direction for this heritage department to deliver and meet Spotlights strategic objectives.
As our new Business Development Manager, you’ll oversee the sourcing and ranging of merchandise, and profitability across 5 sub departments within Art, Craft & Hobbies. You’ve got a commercial eye and you understand how to build wanted and profitable assortments that exceed our customer’s expectations.
About You
- Proven leadership and management experience leading a buying team
- Strong knowledge of art and craft categories is highly desirable
- Excellent financial acumen and a result focused attitude
- Experience in developing and implementing merchandise strategy
- Sound analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
- Exceptional influencing, negotiation & communication skills
- Demonstrate a high level of organisation and strong time management skills
- Strong ability to manage, coach and lead a team
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
