We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) for Event Sponsorship to join our growing team. This exciting work-from-home role involves phone-based lead generation to secure partners and sponsors for our highly successful weekly golf events in Australia as well as some international.
Drive Growth & Build Relationships
- Be the first voice of The Golf Network, proactively reaching out to potential partners across various tiers.
- Secure Naming Rights Sponsors, Hole Sponsors, and Membership Partners for our renowned Golfer Tour events.
- Develop strong relationships with decision-makers, understanding their needs and presenting customised partnership opportunities that align with their marketing objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales & Marketing Director and Head of Partnerships to close deals and exceed targets.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct phone-based lead generation to secure partners and sponsors for The Golf Network's events (100+ per year)
- Proactively seek out new sponsorship opportunities.
- Collaborate with the team to strategize and identify key targets for outreach.
- Support the team with ongoing event sponsorship initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of calls and sales activity in our CRM system.
- Meet daily targets for phone calls, typically ranging from 60 to 100.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitors to optimise outreach strategies.
- Attend company meetings as required (via the internet).

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in events sponsorship sales and lead generation via phone.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for phone-based outreach.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Must enjoy and excel at cold calling and initiating new business relationships.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members remotely.
- Familiarity with the golf industry is a plus but not required.
