With more than 20 years of innovation and development, the company is now a global enterprise possessing 9 major categories and 49 product lines, as well as nearly 800 leading products. It has established more than 30 subsidiary platforms worldwide and is expanding in Australia. They are partnering with Hays to recruit multiple Business Development Manager roles in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane (2024).
Your new role
Reporting to the company's General Manager, the role's key accountabilities will be:
- Identifying and converting appropriate business opportunities for the company;
- Monitor the mining and civil equipment market, identifying and converting appropriate business opportunities for the company;
- Actively pursue direct sales leads;
- Proactively maintain and enhance relationships with existing partnerships and development of new relationships with prospective clientele;
- Presenting quotations and proposals to new and existing clients
- Input into the key strategies to win tenders and expressions of interest in conjunction with key managers;
- Working closely with the maintenance team to ensure equipment expectations are met;
- Seek and execute sales targets in line with business objectives;
- Using marketing tools to secure new business and interest;
- Working with the team in ensuring marketing & business strategy is geared towards growth.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven track record and experience in a sales or Business Development role from machinery/equipment or a related industry
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer engagement and relationship development skills
- Self-motivation and excellent time management skills
- Strong technical / project management skills
- Ability to travel
- Understanding of various earthmoving, mining and infrastructure equipment
