About the role:
As a Business Development Manager at Origin, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and developing a portfolio of customers while maximizing value and margin contribution to our organization. Your primary responsibility will be partnering with large strategic customers by selling electricity, gas, and energy solutions with a focus around their sustainability aspirations. Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders, you'll ensure energy risk management, competitive offerings, and superior customer experiences. From attending industry events to managing tendering processes and building strong relationships, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth and trust in our business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide input to improvement strategies across the sales portfolio
- Develop and report on sales pipelines and opportunities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience for customers through the solutions provided, relationship building and ongoing operational excellence
- Attend industry events and build Origin’s presence in market
- Obtain competitive feedback, pricing and competitor activity
- Manage tendering processes
What will you bring?
- Extensive B2B sales experience in the Australian energy markets partnering with large strategic customers
- High-level negotiation skills.
- Exceptional ability to analyse markets and identify opportunities.
- Strong track record in executing complex, solutions-oriented deals.
- Superior communication and networking abilities.
