They are seeking an exceptionally driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team in Australia. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in identifying and capitalising on business prospects within the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in furthering our client's growth in the Australian market.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and in-depth analysis to identify potential clients, strategic partners, and growth opportunities within the energy industry. Utilise market insights to shape business strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and nurture strong and enduring relationships with key stakeholders in the energy sector. Foster collaborative partnerships that drive growth and value.
  • Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive and data-driven Business Development strategy. Consider market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer requirements to identify, target, and capture opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to ensure the successful execution of projects. Enable efficient and synchronised project delivery.
  • Client-Centric Solutions: Expertly present and negotiate proposals with clients, tailoring solutions to address their specific needs and challenges. Showcase the value of our client's offerings and services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay vigilant and informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring full compliance in all business activities. Uphold the highest standards of ethics and regulatory adherence.
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Provide regular, data-driven reports on sales performance, market insights, and growth prospects. Use these insights to refine strategies, drive continuous improvement, and achieve objectives.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Proven and substantial experience in Business Development, sales, or related roles within the energy sector.
  • A profound understanding of Utility Scale Energy technologies, solutions, and market dynamics.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets, with concrete figures and project outcomes.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian marine and energy market is highly advantageous.
