Key Responsibilities:
- Based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring & growing a diverse portfolio of clients across many varied industry sectors mainly in mechanical, engineering and manufacturing, but may also include residential, commercial & industrial construction, civil infrastructure works, HVAC, plumbing and electrical
- Provide an unparalleled supportive buying experience which contributes to generating sales & gross profit, whilst promoting a team driven culture, built on a foundation of service.
- The duties will be many and varied in the field of product, sales and logistics, with a primary focus on acquiring new customers and developing trusted, sustainable supply partnerships, achieving growth through the strength of the relationships you develop and a dedication to the portfolio of customers you serve.
What do you need?
- Previous experienced within the fasteners & fixings (highly desirable)
- Passion for customer-focused selling.
- Love building impactful and lasting relationships with decision makers.
- Enjoy autonomy to ensure your success, while working with a committed team.
- Know how to assess customer potential, negotiate contract terms, and have people commit.
- Create and navigate your way around a sales plan.
- Proven sales experience developing and maintaining strong business partner relationships.
- Strategic networker able to identify and sell to key decision makers.
- Be comfortable with some interstate travel.
- Strong business acumen, experience in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Proactive co-ordinator of internal teams to develop optimum solutions for customers.
