The position will include the following functions:
- Provide excellent service and build relationships with our major blue-chip customers and manufacturers.
- To meet sales and profitability targets in line with the sales strategy and company's objectives.
- To represent the company in a professional manner in the marketing and selling of the Company nominated products and brands, along with the wider business product portfolio, to a targeted set of new and existing customers within the specified geographic area.
- To identify, qualify and develop opportunities with a strong focus on the specification to maximize the potential of the Company brands and products.
- In developing the role, the individual will be expected to travel as required within the specified geographic area.
- To develop and implement sales strategies with both short term and long-term sales goals & objectives and the identification of new products and solutions to new and existing clients and to develop new supplier opportunities.
- Submit activity reports, sales plans and business proposals and in collaboration with the Senior BDM and Area Sales Director, assist in the generation of forecasts, budgets and business objectives.
- To deliver presentations in a professional and effective manner using existing material as well as creating and developing new and bespoke material to aid in this process.
- Provide technical sales support and product consulting to customers.
- Attention to detail and work within a team environment.
The Successful Applicant
Having previous customer sales experience within industrial sales markets and knowledge of relevant oil & gas products would be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite.
This is a position for a candidate who has good communication skills and commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate new and renew existing supply contracts maximizing potential. Good computer skills with the MS suite and relevant CRM systems, as well as the ability to analyze customer and segment trends generated from the Company's reporting software.
A good level of attention to detail is required to ensure all customer requirements are met during the quotation and sales processing stages.
Remuneration includes a competitive base salary and a Company bonus plan with company vehicle or allowance, plus the usual working tools. The working environment is based in a lively and modern Wangara based office and warehousing complex consisting of a knowledgeable and team focused workforce.
