About the Company:
We are working with a large Australian owned Energy Infrustructure company operating in the B2B space. This company distributes natural gas to millions of customers in Australia with an aim to be carbon neutral by 2040.
Responsibilities:
- A Business Development role involving travel across Melbourne and regional Victoria to support clients such as builders, developers, consulting engineers, business customers and industry associations.
- Create and maintain a strategic call schedule relating to the Victoria territory and ensure retention of existing clients through promoting natural gas and renewables.
- Respond to inquiries and cultivate effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Create, maintain, and extract value from relationships aligned with the Business Development strategy
- Attend relevant Business Development/stakeholder engagement events, including some scheduled after hours.
- Cultivate professional relationships with external customers, educating them on the value of transitioning to renewable gases
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in Business Development, account management, or sales.
- Understanding of the natural gas industry dynamics and interactions among network stakeholders (desirable)
- Strong Business Development experience and skilled in identifying needs, proposing solutions, and securing commitments
- Self-motivation and effective self-management in dynamic environments while maintaining a results-oriented approach within agreed deadlines.
- Valid Australian drivers license.
