We are looking for two highly skilled Business Improvement Consultants to support our client's mining operations on six-month contracts. These positions will be fundamental in facilitating Business Improvement activities along with designing and delivering strategies to help our customer reach their business goals.
Duration: 6 Months
Roster: 5/2/4/3 (Site- Based - FIFO from Perth, WA)
Commencement: Immediate Start Available
Responsibilities:
Role 1: Business Improvement Consultant
- Analyse and benchmark value chain performance to identify initiatives and deliver insights to operational leaders.
- Lead and facilitate Business Improvement initiatives using proven methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Manage initiatives from start to finish, from project charter creation to implementation and delivery.
- Lead structured problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams, utilising tools such as PPS, RCA, and 5 Whys.
- Instil a continuous improvement mindset in stakeholders and coach them on suitable tools and processes.
- Prepare reports and communicate improvement outcomes to stakeholders.
- Coordinate annual strategic planning activities.
Role 2: Improvement Consultant - Maintenance Planning Focus
- Provide high-level maintenance planning and technical guidance to operations and maintenance teams.
- Communicate effectively with site maintenance staff to achieve successful collaboration.
- Use SAP effectively for planning and analysis purposes.
- Lead and facilitate Business Improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Manage initiatives from start to finish, including project charter preparation, implementation, and timely delivery.
- Lead problem-solving sessions and idea development workshops for cross-functional teams.
- Drive standardised work practices, whilst coaching stakeholders to adopt a continual improvement mindset.
- Coordinate annual strategic planning activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise leading Business Improvement efforts and implementing Lean/Six Sigma methodology.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to assess performance data and identify areas for development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency with SAP and other necessary planning tools.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods is preferred.
- Prior experience in the mining or resource industries is beneficial.
