The ACEREZ consortium, which includes the ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), has been appointed Preferred Proponent to design and construct the transmission line infrastructure for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ), as part of Australia’s energy transition, outlined in the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.
The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state’s newly legislated Net Zero targets.

Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated CAD Manager to share their expertise within our growing Design & Engineering team. You will work closely with the Digital Engineering Lead and various stakeholders to uphold project standards and drive excellence in CAD management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees project-wide CAD collaboration and management.
- Conducts QA of CAD information and ensures compliance with project standards.
- Coordinates CAD-specific tasks and hosts collaboration and review meetings.
- Manages CAD support resources as needed for various areas.
- Interfaces with Discipline CAD Leads to maintain project deliverable standards.
- Ensures timely drawing delivery and production.
- Maintains adherence to model-based legal deliverables and facilitates automated extraction of content.
- Reviews and ensures compliance of BIM outputs to project standards.
- Develops and implements CAD Management Sub-plan and standards.
Key Competencies
- Competent in facilitating project-wide CAD collaboration and management, adept at hosting and leading meetings.
- Demonstrates expertise in quality assurance of CAD information and reviewing BIM outputs for compliance.
- Proficiently manages CAD resources, directs tasks, and ensures adherence to project standards.
- Possesses strong technical proficiency with BIM and CAD software, adept at extracting models and producing deliverables.
- Experienced in working with ISO 19650 controlled Common Data Environments and implementing CAD Management Plans.
- Capable of providing training, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and adept at problem-solving to enhance project efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Preferably 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years managing CAD Systems.
- Essential BIM skills and experience, with proficiency in geospatially correct BIM software.
- Extensive experience in the use, installation, development and support of MicroStation, AutoCAD and other associated CAD Products.
- Hold an Advanced diploma of Engineering or equivalent as a minimum.
