Cad/Plm Administrator

In support of Fortescue's strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet

Based out our new Hazelmere & Redcliffe facilities and reporting to the Principal Design, we are currently seeking a CAD/PLM Administrator. In this newly created role, you will bring your extensive CAD and Engineering application experience and knowledge to support, develop, and improve the existing systems and assist with the roadmap and transition for our future CAD requirements.

• Deploying, maintaining, improving & training based around the Suite of SolidWorks & Siemens products (Electrical, Mechanical, Simulation, Visualise, PDM, PLM)
• Working with stakeholders to evaluate and implement a CAD system that will handle current and future requirements.
• Monitoring usage, future requirements, and optimal software utilisation throughout engineering.
• Documentation, user guides - writing best practice documents for the use of the software
• Training - new user intro sessions, new application training. Provide training and supervise CAD users in core application skills and standards
• Work with Engineering and Drafting Leads regarding technical issues, training and other CAD system issues
• Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies
• Ability to proactively contribute to application support improvements
• Software maintenance and deployment, working with IT, Cyber and Department Teams
• Taking a lead in identifying mistakes and finding solutions
• Capable of prioritizing and delivering work in a fast-moving environment
• Proactively deliver on the company's stretch targets
• Liaising with a range of key stakeholders on all technical aspects of projects
• Providing regular updates to the Principal Design including work progress, risks, and priorities

Applications you will be required to support:

• Document Management System: Teamcenter, SolidWorks PDM Pro, Polarion.
• Mechanical CAD Applications: SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation Professional, Siemens NX, Microstation, Visio, NavisWorks, Geomagic
• Electrical CAD Applications: SolidWorks Electrical Schematic, SWXE 3D, Microsation, Altium, NX
