What You Will Be Doing
Peninsula Health has exciting new opportunities for a Food Services Supervisor to join our Catering team on a casual basis on call as required.
The Food Service Supervisors, together with the Executive Chef, are responsible for ensuring delivery of a high-quality food service to patients across Peninsula Health sites. The role includes training new staff, roster co-ordination, managing food service operations and day to day supervision of staff as needed to deliver a quality service in these areas.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Certificate II in Food Safety and food safety supervisors certificate
- Has good clear communication skills and is able to prepare letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
- Builds a cohesive team with clarity around goals and accountabilities.
- Identifies and responds to stakeholders underlying needs and actively promotes and manages change.
- Regularly plans and tracks progress on work tasks by taking responsibility for corrective action and promptly looks for continuous improvement
- Clearly defines role expectations, monitors performance, provides timely and constructive feedback and facilitates employee development

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold a current (post 2019) food safety certificate level1 HLTFSE001/follow basic Food Services practices? (Required as a minimum)
Desirable: Do you hold the following Food Safety Certifications 1. HLTFSE005 Apply and monitor food safety requirements 2. HLTFSE007 Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace
Desirable: Have you had previous experience in a commercial kitchen inn an aged care or hospital environment?
Essential: Do you have a good understanding of food safety and hygiene principles?
Essential: Do you have excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus?
Essential: Do you have a proved track record of Compliance with Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
