About The Role
The HIS Team Leader oversees a range of administrative tasks, including those of the HIS Clerk, while also offering support, guidance, and mentoring to staff. Reporting to HIS Management, this role involves providing first-level support to clinicians for viewing scanned medical records. The position requires leadership and autonomy in daily activities, operating on a 7-day rotating roster from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, with travel and work at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals as needed. Responsibilities include performing and guiding HIS Clerks in their duties, escalating issues to management, training new staff, assisting with quality reviews and audits, identifying and escalating service delivery issues, helping with staff rostering, and maintaining confidentiality regarding patient, staff, and workplace matters.
About You
· Proficient in Health Information Services (HIS) administrative functions, understanding HIS's role within an LHD.
· Strong planning and time management skills, adept at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· Excellent verbal and written communication, skilled in engaging stakeholders at all levels. Works effectively in team settings, promoting teamwork, while also capable of independent, unsupervised work.
