The Country Universities Centre (CUC) is a network of affiliated Regional University Centres providing support, connection, and dedicated facilities for higher education students in regional communities.
CUC students benefit from being part of a local learning community, with opportunities to engage with peers, educators, and local industry. Through enhanced higher education access, regional people are empowered to shape vibrant and prosperous futures for themselves and their communities.
Country Universities Centre Bass Coast Region is a not-for-profit community-driven organisation, jointly funded by the Department of Education and key local support. The Centre open in March 2021.
The Role
This is a highly rewarding and unique opportunity to join the CUC team in shaping the education landscape for students in the Bass Coast area.
As Centre Manager, you will work with the Board of Directors and be supported by the CUC in implementing the strategic plan to increase access to higher education opportunities in the region. You will be integral to the management of the Centre in Wonthaggi and coordinating ongoing operations to support successful outcomes for students. You will also work with the CUC to develop and implement a marketing plan, foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and represent CUC Bass Coast at community events.
We Are Looking For
- A self-starting, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about creating opportunities for regional and remote students;
- The ability to engage with local students from diverse backgrounds and pursue key opportunities to support students to identify and achieve their academic goals;
- An experienced collaborator with the ability to build strong relationships within the CUC network, the Bass Coast community, and with diverse external stakeholders to promote the CUC’s aims;
- Excellent organisational and time management capability, combined with high-level computer skills; and
- A dedicated individual with the agility to execute the strategic plan and manage the day-to-day running of the Centre.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
