Position Description
The position is responsible for planning and organizing the preparation and cooking of food for customers. Details of the responsibilities and duties are as below:
- Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
- Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure the timely
delivery of services.
- Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Prepare, cook, garnish, and present food.
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations
- Order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation
- Recruit and hire staff, including cooks and other kitchen workers.
- Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labor, and overhead costs.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Certificate IV or above in cookery
- Minimum of four years’ experience in established venues with a track record of good
performance• Have a passion and flair for Asian cuisine, ability to have knowledge of Asian cuisine and
cooking skill
- Hard working and team player
- Good communication and organizational skills along with sound decision making
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
