Details: At the Community Services Directorate (CSD) we value our people and the significant contribution they make to our success in supporting the Canberra Community. Housing ACT is a division of CSD responsible for the provision and management of public housing services in the Territory, in addition to homelessness services, community housing, housing policy and asset management. Housing ACT currently has a vacancy for a Client Engagement Officer to join the team.
Client Engagement Officers are responsible for providing client-centred support to a diverse range of people. The position liaises with clients either in-person, by email, or telephone requiring sound communication skills to navigate different circumstances which may arise. Cultural awareness, an understanding of the complexities of public housing, and respect for people are important attributes for working in for this position. Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Essential:
- WWVP - Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
Desirable, but not essential,
- qualification and experience:
- Experience in using a range of IT business and office applications.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
