Job description
Reporting to the Client Services Manager, the Client Services Officer works with various clients and assists them with their enquiries.
Day to day, you can expect to -
Process and action client enquiries and advise clients on their entitlements and assist them in completing their applications
Assess the client applications according to established policies and procedures, including engagement with external stakeholders to facilitate the distribution of benefits
Manage multiple enquiries over a range of trusts, ensuring their specific policies and guidelines are adhered to
Identify, investigate and escalate any fraudulent application attempts
Progress knowledge and awareness for vulnerable clients and how best to manage their enquiries
Ensure compliance with trust distribution policies and processes
Implement, understand and support the leadership team with ongoing auditing requirements
Identify and escalate compliance incidents and contribute to client/beneficiary-focused resolution and management
Attend and support Senior Management in Trust meetings, meet Advisory Trustees, record minutes, and follow up actions
What you'll need to succeed
You are very organised, self-driven and have a 'can-do' attitude. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail. In addition, you enjoy working as part of a team and have high resilience and emotional intelligence. You are efficient, enjoy improving processes, and your computer skills are exceptional. Most of all, you enjoy building client relationships by providing quality service and understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
You have experience dealing with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples or Native Title and are committed and willing to understand complex and cultural needs.
As a preference, you have experience working in the Trustee industry or the financial sector working with a specialised cross-section of stakeholders.
