The role
Guided by Council’s Climate Change Strategy, this role leads Councils response to Climate Change by:
- influencing and supporting teams to deliver on Councils commitment to climate action
- providing advice and direction on Council and Government policies
- researching and providing advice on technology and practices to support Council’s Climate Change goals
- identifying and seeking funding opportunities and partnerships for Climate Change projects
- preparing briefing papers and reports for Executive and Council
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- relevant experience and qualifications in environmental or climate science or similar
- skills in community engagement and consultation and developing strong community partnerships and strategic alliances.
- experience in the development and implementation of project, strategic and action plans
- a current drivers licence and Employee Working with Children Check
