The Role:
The Communications & Media Officer is responsiblefor delivering and implementing proactive and reactive media andcommunication projects. You will assist the Department for Tradeand Investment to grow its profile locally, nationally, andinternationally in support of its economic growth and job creationambitions.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you must be able todemonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
- Significant knowledge of, and experience in, the application of communications theory and methodology across all media
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing
- Experience in developing, coordinating and reviewing communications projects
- Experience in undertaking research and developing engaging and informative speeches
- Knowledge of marketing tools and process such as MailChimp and Google analytics
Desirable Qualification:
Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, PublicRelations, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience.
Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactoryCriminal History Check or National Police Check prior toemployment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration:
ASO5 – $84,522 min – $94,003 max
