Permanent Full-time (average of 38 hours per week)

This role is focussed on planning, implementing and evaluating community capacity building (Community Development) initiatives in the City, with emphasis on health promotion and healthy lifestyle programs as identified within the Health and Wellbeing Strategy. You will be involved in guiding, supporting and assisting community groups, organisations and individuals to build their capacity through the provision of training, resources, programs and services.
You are an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with local stakeholders and networks. You have a drive and passion for making a difference and contributing to community’s Health and Wellbeing. To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria in your online application:
Qualification in Community Development, Social Science, Health Sciences (Health Promotion) or related field and/or relevant experience in Community Development or related field.
Demonstrated experience and ability in the identification, development, delivery and evaluation of relevant health promotion programs.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues in health promotion.
Demonstrated experience in event development, implementation, management and evaluation practises.
We are offering a gross salary of $82,627 per annum, as well as:
11% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
