The Position
The Shire of Manjimup has an exciting opportunity for a highly efficient and effective individual to provide customer service and administrative support to our Community Services Directorate. This role is responsible for providing support across a range of administrative functions including community events, building stakeholder relationships, and working alongside our multifunctional team to provide strong community service across the Shire of Manjimup.
This role includes:
- Provide efficient and effective customer service and administration for the Shire’s Community Services department.
- Administration and liaison for events and assisting event organisers in obtaining event approvals.
- Liaise with Building, Environmental Health and Emergency and Technical Services on event-related matters, as directed.
- Maintain Directorate website updates, Antenno, and social media updates, and events calendar in relation to events.
- General administrative support as directed.
The Person
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Sound written and verbal communication skills including customer service to a range of individuals and problem solving.
- Experience in an administrative role and working in a multifunctional team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Working knowledge of processes, procedures and record keeping.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
- Knowledge of the local area including communities, activities, groups and events (Desirable).
- Developing knowledge of local government organisational structure, function, and compliance requirements (Desirable).
