A great opportunity exists for a skilled and experienced Company Secretary to join our team.
This Role has become available due to the current incumbent retiring. The successful applicant will be supported through a handover and training with the current Company Secretary.
About the role
Reporting directly to the General manager you will be accountable for;
- Ensuring company secretarial duties are carried our as per ASIC requirements
- Compile and prepare board and shareholder meeting agenda items and provide minutes of all board and shareholder meetings
- Arrange share sales/transfers as required and in accordance with SOM’s constitution.
- Documentation and payment of shareholder dividends
- Assist with the production of the Annual Report of SOM
- Assist with the development, documentation and maintenance of policies and procedures
- Assist the General Manager as required in the planning and development of new projects
- Any other related duties as reasonably required
- Prepare annual operational budget and assist with budgeting for projects
- Prepare financial reports for the board and annually for the shareholders
- Act for the administrative clerk/bookkeeper in their absence
- Any other related duties as reasonably required
- The role is part time – 3 days per week
About you
- You will hold a Bachelor of Business – Accounting
- Proven experience in a similar role is essential
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Office software systems including Excel and
- Word and the MYOB accounting software systems
