We are currently seeking a safety and security focused Compliance & Airside Safety Coordinator. This position is on a full-time permanent basis.
Purpose of role:
- Lead, supervise & coordinate the Airport Safety Officers (ASOs) & to provide shift relief when required
- Coordinate Airside Safety Team operations to ensure compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), Cyber and Infrastructure Security Centre (CISC).
- Ensure Mackay Airport aviation, Airside Safety and security operations are compliant with legislative, regulatory and internal requirements.
- Conduct audits and inspections, report and complete actions on findings.

About you:
- Diploma or degree qualifications in Aerodrome Airside Operations (preferable WSO/RO) qualifications
- Experience in an Aerodrome Airside Operations role
- Experience knowledge and understanding of Airport, Airline, Civil Aviation Safety and Aviation Security Regulations
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of the Aerodrome Operations Manual, and relevant Security and Emergency Plans - desirable
- Ability to interpret legislation and associated regulations and incorporate into operational processes and outcomes - desirable
