We currently have an opportunity for a Compliance officer to join our Audit, Risk and Compliance Team. This role will work as part of the team to provide essential support services to the API business units. This includes managing business processes, setting appropriate policy and procedure, continual performance monitoring, reporting, and delivering insights to drive business growth.
About the Role
The responsibilities for this role include:
Maintain API’s records relating to legislative compliance and undertake relevant administrative requirements.
Prepare and collate reports for internal stakeholders, maintain policies, procedures, and systems to meet API’s compliance needs.
Provide guidance and support to API team members to meet their compliance obligations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery is meeting the required needs and expectations of all stakeholders, enhancing the reputation and respect of the legal and compliance team.
Ensure compliance related activities are relevant, accurate, timely and in accordance with industry standards (better practice).
Identifying and proposing activities for continuous improvement of compliance processes.
Maintain, follow-up and update compliance obligations register
Our ideal candidate would have the following experience/attributes:
Knowledge of and 3 years’ experience in effective compliance and/or auditing desirable
Ability to quickly gain an understanding of API’s compliance obligations pursuant to the relevant legislation(s)
Experience with compliance administration and legislation would be an advantage
Demonstrable skills in drafting and updating policies using research skills and in consultation with relevant stakeholders
Ability to determine relevant data and evidence gathering approaches for reporting
Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset
A proactive, self-motivated team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to conceptualise and communicate processes clearly
About you
Education/Qualifications:
Qualification in Compliance or Legal well regarded
Track-record of experience in compliance management
Healthcare, FMCG and/or retail industry experience highly desirable
