About the Role:
As the Conference and Events Sales Manager, you will be responsible for delivering more functions, events and conference business into our event spaces and F&B outlets within our hotel.
You will achieve success in converting enquiries by developing relationships with our clients, continually adding value through the sales process, developing and implementing sales strategies in conjunction with our Director of Sales.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to maximise conversion and upselling of all function, conferences, and event enquiries.
- Prepare business proposals for all function, event and conference enquiries. Customise all aspects of proposals to create the most compelling offer.
- Develop relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential customers.
- Doing deals - negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring a win-win situation for both parties.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and network to promote the hotel and generate leads.
- Coordinate event requirements with clients, preparing event orders for the handover to operational teams.
About you:
- A natural people person – everywhere you go you make friends.
- Experienced in similar roles within the hotel industry highly regarded.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- You’re up to date on industry trends, and a passion for delivering exceptional events and functions.
- Familiar with CRM systems and other relevant technology, Ivvy experience a bonus.
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends where required for sales requirements.
- Willing to be involved with hotel operations and lend a hand where needed
