The role of Coordinator - Injury Management is an integral part of our team and supports the commitment we make to our community in providing efficient, responsive, open and accessible service.
Your Next OpportunityDue to organisational growth, Gunnedah Shire Council is looking for a full-time Coordinator - Injury Management based in Gunnedah, NSW. Reporting to the Manager of People and Culture, this pivotal role focuses on managing a comprehensive range of Injury Management and return-to-work functions, ensuring legislative compliance, and fostering a culture of health and wellbeing within the workplace.

This role requires collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders including the Business Partner on WHS and Health & Wellbeing projects as required.
What You’ll Bring to the TeamTo qualify, you will need tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Nursing, Physiotherapy, allied health, or related. Alternatively, candidates with a high level of relevant experience may also be considered.
Key requirements for this position include:
- Skills in developing and implementing Injury Management programs
- Experience in case management and return-to-work coordination
- Proficiency in managing workers' compensation claims and rehabilitation processes
- Skills in developing and implementing Injury Management programs
- SafeWork accredited: Introduction to Return to Work Coordination Course
- Current valid Class C Driver’s Licence
As our ideal candidate, you are a proactive professional with the ability to identify business needs with a solid understanding of insurance frameworks and worker's compensation structures. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to work with internal stakeholders, managers and coordinators.
