We have a new role in our Corporate Governance risk and Compliance team for a Corporate Governance & Compliance Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Governance, Risk & Compliance, the Corporate Governance & Compliance Manager is responsible for operational management of Corporate Governance, reporting and Compliance for eHealth NSW.
This position is responsible for managing implementation and Compliance of the governance framework to provide eHealth NSW with sound governance structures and models that meet statutory requirements, ensuring there is a culture of strong and transparent management accountability.
What you will do:

  • Ensure that eHealth NSW follow the requirements of NSW Health’s Corporate Governance and accountability compendium.
  • Support the annual Corporate Governance attestation.
  • Maintain and enhance a compliance register of all mandatory instruments (legislation, codes, policies, and procedures) and ensure accountability through clear ownership.
  • Lead the research, development, and continuing review of the Corporate Governance framework and models to meet statutory requirements. Identify changes to mandatory instruments and communicate to owners.
  • Develop and maintain policy and procedure review process, and provide advice on policy development in line with Policy Development and Management Procedure
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the chairs and secretariat of the Board and high-level committees on governance matters. This includes functional assessments and terms of reference evaluation.
  • Report on and maintain Gifts & Benefits and Conflicts of Interest Procedures and Registers, driving staff awareness of declaration requirements and ethical decision making.
  • Build effective business partnerships through customer engagement at a high level with both internal and external stakeholders, including HealthShare and eHealth business units and the Ministry of Health.

About you
The skills and experience we are looking for include:
  • Extensive experience in Corporate Governance in a large diverse service industry organisation, including knowledge of relevant legislation, policy requirements and processes. Preferably a relevant qualification in Corporate Governance or Compliance.
  • Proven engagement, collaboration, and negotiation skills, with the capability to build, maintain and use relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Superior written communication skills with proven skills in writing complex reports, briefings, external correspondence, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven experience in improving the customer experience/helping the business.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form-IM011 form). Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
To be eligible for this role, you must have current Australian work rights (Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen with a current passport, or hold a valid visa with permission to work in Australia).
