The Unit
The Student Service Unit is comprised of the Student Service, and Current Student Communications teams who are proactive and work in partnership to provide engagement with students early in their university studies and is an ongoing first point of contact for UOW students and the university community. We are looking for Current Student Communication Officers who will share our passion and bring new ideas and creativity to our team through engaging and inspiring Student Communications campaigns and strategies.
The Opportunity
As a Current Student Communication Officer, you will play an essential role in the development of content for communications, campaigns and projects for students at UOW. Working in collaboration with stakeholders will be crucial to developing and executing communications plans that resonate with the target audience.
The Communications Officer will provide day to day support for Student Communications across platforms including CRM, SOLS, Web, MyUOW app, and social media.
With a focus on continuous improvement, you will analyse data to gain insight on campaign performance, market trends and to identify areas of effectiveness and improvement that will enhance student understanding and engagement.
About You
You hold a bachelor’s degree and/or experience in a relatable area and are experienced in digital marketing, social media, content creation, graphic design and creating briefs. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to create compelling content, message and material will be evident with your history of well executed communications campaigns.
You have a high level of motivation and initiative and are excited to contribute to the teams’ strategies and tactics that will see high level ideas, fresh approaches and quality content in communication plans. Your ability to remain calm in high pressure situations with competing demands will be paramount in making this role a success.
