GMK Logistics is a specialist Transport company located in Gregory Hills.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Transport/Customer Service Officer to join our Sydney team from 8.54am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
As the successful candidate you will need to be highly motivated, well organised and committed to the highest possible work standards. Transport and Logistics experience is desirable but not essential to complete the job requirements below:
Co-ordination of transport activities:
- Liaise daily with Company Drivers, Subcontractors and Customers, collecting and dropping off freight at the Sydney Depot.
- Data entry of consignment notes, pickups & Driver daily work sheets
- Complete Drivers daily runs via our Transport management system.
- Manifesting
- liaising with On-forwarders
- Freight discrepancy investigation and reporting
- Attend to freight enquiries and track freight for Customers via email and phone
- Contact Customers to collect freight from the Sydney depot on a weekly basis
- Scan and file Transport documents
- Additional reporting as required
- Job costing as required
• Intermediate level in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet diverse business priorities
• Demonstrated decision-making capability
• Proactively instigating action where appropriate
• The ability to work within timelines and prioritise work
• Strong communication skills - both written & Verbal
Additional tasks as required:
- Back up to the 3PL Team when required – Process orders and attend to Customer Warehouse enquiries
- Job Quoting (If applicable, training will be provided)
Desired however not essential:
• Transport and Logistics experience
• Jaix Transport Management system
