About the position
The Customer Service Officer will work across all areas of Council and is responsible in creating an initial and lasting positive impression on our customers, providing high level of customer service to internal and external customers who attend to either the front counter or via the phone with the objective of providing first point resolution. The position will also be responsible for Council's record management system and providing administration support.
Essential
Current Drivers Licence
Certificate III in Business Administration (or Customer Service equivalent experience)
Demonstrated experience with computers, including operating software systems, Microsoft office and internet
Minimum 2 years experience in a customer service role
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to political and other issues
Demonstrated ability to promote Council in a positive manner
Willingness to learn new systems and possess a commitment to a continuous improvement workplace
Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Work Health and Safety
Desirable
Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
Demonstrated ability to accurately record meeting minutes
Experience with records management
Experience in Local Government
Salary: $39.85 per hour
